About Hush Lapland
I moved to Lapland in 2021 for the same reason people come here on holiday. The quiet. The light that changes every week. The feeling of skiing out into the forest and hearing nothing but your own breath.
I meant to stay for a winter. Then came the spring snow under a sun that barely sets, the first summer of the nightless night and the first autumn when the fells turned red. I have not wanted to leave since.
Hush Lapland grew out of that. I want our guests to have a calm, comfortable home near the fells, and someone local who can tell them what the guidebooks leave out.
Local knowledge, not just keys
I work with homes and property in Lapland, so I know the villages, the roads and the quiet corners well. I ski a lot myself, and this spring I skied the Ylläs–Levi cross-country event between the two fells where our homes are.
The things guests ask me most are the things I like answering best:
- Where to ski straight from the door, and where the tracks are quiet.
- Where to go ice fishing. From the fell you drive a little way down to the lakes and rivers.
- How to get a fatbike delivered to the door for a day in the snow.
- What to do with children nearby, and which activities are run by local families.
- Where to watch for the northern lights away from the street lights.
Levi and Ylläs
Our homes are in Levi, and from February 2027 also in Ylläs. Two neighbouring fells, joined by the 70 km Ylläs–Levi ski route, each with its own character. If you are not sure which suits you, ask in the chat.
